Fun in the Sun

People have enjoyed having fun in Erie, PA LONG before early settlers from the Reed family spent their first night in the area, camping out on Presque Isle!!!

Most prefer the late Spring-Summer-and-early Fall time period to greet the elements. A few hearty types enjoy FUN IN THE SUN during the late Fall and Winter months. A number of photographers have unwittingly contributed their work to this small sketch of summer fun, including F. J. Bassett, Charles Cranch, Charles B. Hall, Richard J. Neuer, the Sturznickle family, Mr. Schauble and a few anonymous contributors. All capture the mood of fun, whether relaxed or manic, with a touch of whimsey and humor.

Pursuit of FUN IN THE SUN remains constant and will probably continue throughout the next century. We hope you enjoy this slice of life from the PHOTOARCHIVE Gallery. Please join us for a few moments of entertainment from the past.
