Education and Resources
The Society serves more than 20,000 persons annually through tours, workshops, lectures and other special events, and outreach events such as regional festivals, conferences and off-site collaborative projects.
Thematic/Museum Tours
Staff and volunteers regularly conduct tours of…
- the Society’s four historic houses
- the Museum of Erie County History

Tour content and delivery is adjusted according to audience learning levels (K – Adult), making them appropriate for almost every age.
Classroom/Outreach Programs
These interactive programs bring local history to regional schools, community centers and organizations. Each program is designed to promote the study of local history by allowing students experiences not typical to the classroom.
Public Programs
Special events and programs such as the Ethnic Erie Project, Erie’s Heritage Festival and Victorian Holidays enable the Society to share Erie County’s story with the public.
