MERCYHURST DONATION & TRANSFER

In 1996, Mercyhurst College’s Hammermill Library administration revised its collecting focus from being an excellent regional repository to that of a top notch college archives. For a period of six years, Earleen Glaser, College Archivist & Reference Librarian at Mercyhurst has worked with Annita Andrick, Director of Library & Archives to select, pack, transfer and donate collections to the Library & Archives of ECHS.

Over 170 collections have been transferred and donated so far. Additional shelving is being built to accomodate the additional growth. Following transfer, arrangement and integration of the collections into the system, these excellent collections will be available to the research public at the History Center.
