The
new Erie County Historical Society
was created when the Erie Historical
Museum merged with the Erie County
Historical Society on January 1, 2000.
The new organization includes sites
in downtown Erie and in Girard, Pennsylvania.
Programs are offered at the Cashier’s
House & Erie County History Center
on State Street, the Watson-Curtze
Mansion and the Erie Planetarium on
West Sixth Street, and the Battles
Museum of Rural Life in Girard.
Educational
programming at ECHS takes advantage
of all six sites. With thousands of
things to see, and a wide array of
topics to study, students and adults
are sure to enjoy their experience.
Educational programs are adaptable
for ages 6 through adult.
